All exclusive Detroiters,
Spring was in the air that day in detroit, spending the whole day running errands as we explored the city. Two chairs called our names outside the shinola store to catch our breath and we took in all that was happening in our city. Bikers rolling, dogs being walked and runners going by. With our fresh juices in hand we took pleasure watching our city being consumed with life.
We look at each other both thinking the same thing as one of us said, “remember back to four years ago when these streets were much quieter than this? Now sounds fill the city.”
We were impatiently waiting for 4 o'clock so we could attend the opening of Detroit’s newest rooftop bar, The Monarch Club, located inside the Element Hotel.
Our heels clicked as we walked in the building and watched the elevator arrow slowly descend from the penthouse to the main lobby, where we were waiting. We fluffed our hair, touched up our lipsticks, watched the door opened and clicked PH.

The interior space offered bar, lounge and table seating, along with an extensive drink and food menu. What caught our attention most was the vintage feel that the club gave off.
The bar was dressed in wood, the walls in navy blue and the bartenders in their black vests. But wait, it gets better Detroiters. With cocktails in our hands, we opened the door to the outdoor terrace that offered 360 views of the whole city.

You could choose to your liking and look towards the stadium, Midtown, the Detroit river, or our personal favorite, Woodward avenue.
As our glasses emptied we could only imagine those breezy summer nights ahead sharing the city with our friends next time around, at the Monarch Club lit up by the fire pits and city lights.
Maybe we’ll see you there Detroiters.
