Hello there Detroiters, as you all may know we are lovers of all things design, so it was a no brainier that we would check out Hugh-Detroit in midtown owned by Joe Posch.

A design & lifestyle store which caters to contemporary lifestyle opened in midtown in 2012.

The store itself carries personal accessories, household goods, books, lighting and also furniture.

The colored glassware really caught our attention (photographed above) which is part of the Ultima Thule collection, along with all the Chemex coffeemakers.

This shop is the perfect one stop shop for someone who really enjoys design and that has an eye for it. Each piece in the store almost feels like it has a story to tell.

Next time you're in the area make sure to stop by Detroiters. You'll be pleasantly surprised at what you'll see in the store, much of it can be a great gift towards someone special or for a special space in your house (we loved the brown saddle leather couch by Gus Modern)
