Every city neighborhood behind all the noise needs a hidden gem that offers sanctuary. Posie atelier located in the alley, behind the Shinola hotel, offers just this.

We stepped into the small shop one day before Mother’s Day to explore what it has to offer. The clerk greeted us and let us know that  this was a family owned business ran by her daughter. As we took our time to look around the store the bell dinged with customers going in and out buying curated bouquets delicately picked out for their mothers.

Different variety of hanging plants covered the white walls. Thus we figured out the shop offered hand-picked bouquets, potted plants big or small available for purchase. What set this place apart, was the display case filled with delicate pieces of jewelry standing next to the welcoming plush yellow chair.

That day they were shopping for their moms, but any occasion could bring you in. Maybe your new studio apartment needs some greenery or your best friend got a promotion, or better yet you just deserve some flowers that day, step into posie atelier and let them take care of it for you.
