If you’re looking for a place to grab a bottle of wine and crackers for a girls night in or dinner and drinks, Eatori Market can offer both. Located on Griswold St. next to Capitol Park, Eatori Market is a hotspot for nicely crafted cocktails, quick bites, and fresh food.
This gourmet market has become a one stop shop for locals, allowing Detroiters to shop for quality groceries and more, while being able to enjoy a meal after their weekly shopping is done!
Last weekend we made our way over for some drinks and this time decided to share with you all. Once you walk through the main door, you will be greeted with a smile from the bartender. You can grab a seat at the marble countertop bar or continue on down the hallway into the market. Eatori Market holds fresh food, drinks, specialty goods and produce, in addition to serving lunch and dinner.
After a walk through the space, we decided to grab a seat on the patio looking out onto Capitol Park. With the Scott Building standing tall and the summer breeze coming through, the moment called for a cocktail. We decided on Violet 75(Bombay Sapphire, Champagne, Crème de Violette, Lemon) and The Frose, as we sat on the black and white European bistro wicker style chairs.

The striped umbrella above our heads provided just enough shade as we chatted for hours about the changes that are happening in our city. Our delicious drinks were our amour on that hot summer Detroit Sunday.
The patio was surrounded by greenery allowing for a perfect duality between the calmness of the plants and the hustle of the city behind us. Walking away from Eatori Market we noticed the sign that said Capitol Cafe by Eatori coming soon. Guess we’ll have to come back soon. See ya there Detroiters.
