Canelle Patisserie’s newest location in the heart of Capitol Park.

We remember when we first would walk past this little upcoming corner a few months back, excited to see that another coffee shop was coming to our city. Canelle the sign read, we turn towards each other, remembering that one semester of French we took in college and the fond memories of studying abroad in Paris...

Canelle (cinnamon) was bringing that feeling into Detroit.

Flash forward a few months later, the orange colored sky shown through the buildings, as 7 o'clock came to be, we adjusted our berets (yes, we went full French that day) and stepped into Cannele Detroit for the first time.

As French music buzzed in the background, our attention quickly went to the decedent deserts perfectly aligned in rows. Macarons, crosistants, berry tarts, eclairs, croquant chocolat and freshly made breads--all that you’ve dreamed a french pastry shop to be was ready at your fingertips.
